Join with us on the 25-27th of September for Church Camp!
We will gather around God’s word with heartfelt worship and joyful fellowship while enjoying God's beautiful creation at the CYC Gold Coast campsite in Advancetown. It is a fantastic way to get to know your church family!
The CYC Campsite at Advancetown is situated on a fantastic property with a private lake, pool, chip and putt golf course, tennis court and fully self-contained rooms (Kitchen, Living, 2 Beds & 1 Bath).
We will be joined by David Powell (Brother of Jonothan Powell from GBC Corinda).
Who is Dave?
Dave and Mel have been married 34 years. They have two sons Aaron (32yo) and Michael (30yo).
This year saw them relocate to the greater Sydney area as Dave finished nearly 20 years as one of the Pastors of Albury Presbyterian Church.
Melisa began a new role as Finance Manager for Jericho Road, the justice and mercy ministry of the Presbyterian Church NSW.
Dave has been taking some time reflecting, reading and writing, whilst also taking up opportunities as a visiting speaker.
Dave and Mel enjoy coffee, good food, cooking & hospitality, markets, relaxed bike rides & bushwalks, gardening, watching sport, competing with each other, hanging out with friends & family.
Dave’s looking forward to teaching us the Bible with a particular focus on the idea that God created humans to serve him as guardians of his domain and dominion. In three Bible talks we will think about being created to serve and the implications of this for life inside and outside the church.

Cost
CYC Gold Coast has set the following prices per person. This price includes all meals and accommodation from 6pm Friday 25th September right through to 2pm Sunday 27th of September.
- Babies & Toddlers 0-4 years = FREE
- Ages 5 to adult = $180 p/p
- Day Pass (Saturday only) = $78p/p (includes Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea & Dinner. No accommodation.

Included Activities
Swimming, Chip & Putt Golf, Canoeing, Tennis Court (bring your own gear), Bike riding (Bikes provided), Hiking & a playground for children.
Subsidy & Bursary Arrangements
Whilst we would love everyone to attend camp, we also fully understand that the cost may be prohibitive for some. If the cost prohibits you from attending, please reach out to the Deacons to discuss payment plans or subsidies. Likewise, if you’d like to bless someone to attend by contributing for others, please let the deacons know.
